Before founding the Law Office of Regina Y. Kane in 2003, Regina Y. Kane worked as an immigration officer with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). During that time, she was in charge of reviewing and approving family based visas and applications for permanent residents, employment authorization applications and travel documents. Through her work with USCIS she became intimately familiar with both immigration law and the standards employed by the USCIS in judging applications. As a former member of the U.S. Air Force who has traveled all around the world, she understands where her clients come from, and the hopes they put into their vision of a new life in the United States.
Attorney Kane is a veteran and has experience as a JAG officer with the Kansas and Virginia Air National Guard. She is sensitive to the issues facing veterans and the difficulties of processing a claim with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
She also has experience as a decision writer with the Soical Security Administration In her capacity as a decision writer she assisted administrative law judges in developing SSI and social security disability cases. She opened the Law Office of Regina Y. Kane in the belief that it would allow her to help more people, and that belief has proven to be true.
